Abstract

Psychotherapy with traumatized migrants faces several challenges which aggravate successful interventions in terms of conventional traumatherapy. Especially in the case of asylum-seekers, a residence permit is essential for trauma-synthesis. Amongst others, the barrier of language often reduces the quality of, or even precludes interventions. In this paper we introduce elements of the "Göttinger Therapy Concept for Patients with Migration- Background", which allows therapy in spite of multiple aggravating conditions. © Schattauer 2014.
