Abstract

In this article we carry out a comparison of the incidence of intimate partner violence among migrant and local populations, of the socio-demographic profile of offenders, of crimes, the specific circumstances of the aggressors, as well as places and witnesses, which are reflected in judicial decisions about intimate partner violence among migrant population in Southeast Spain (Almeria and Murcia) from 2005 to 2010. The overall conclusion of the study is that decisions reflect and amplify partner violence that occurs among migrant populations compared to that among native population.
