Abstract

Today one can note a growing attention to international and national psychological studies that show a higher interest and reflection in cognitive pathways and intervention regarding the dynamics of post migration families and the psychosocial well-being of minors. In this analysis of the processes of migrant families in Italy, an important place is given to minors without Italian citizenship. It focuses on children who are born in Italy to foreign parents who arrive through family reunification or as a result of relatives. The conflicts between individuals, as well as the family and social dynamics that characterize these families, are important to understand the outcomes of the adaptation process, of the conflicts, and the success of these minors. In a proactive manner, one should try to favor a culturally integrated identity understood as the result of an adaptive process of the individual to the many contextual references of each culture of origin (of the parents and of the new environment) in such a way as to value all the relational networks involving the entire ecosystem of life.
