Abstract

Just after Europe, and WWII, during the period of rapid economic growth, North African emigration, to France in particular, increased considerably. Workforce migrations not only play a major role in regulation of the conditions on the job market, but also play a role of structural compelentarity in national workforce, at least as far as certain levels of the market are concerned; and this is to the extent that a high national unemployment rate can co-exist with a high rte of employment of foreign workers. The level of professional qualification of the North African workforce abroad has increaaed. The policies of the host States as regards immigration show an increasing tendency to recruit new highly qualified immigrant workers. -English summary
