Abstract

This article reports an analysis of data involving the application of a social network intervention model using lay health advisors (LHAs). The study population included migrant farmworker women and infants receiving care at two health care delivery sites. Changes in knowledge, health status, and behaviors were assessed. Our findings indicate that the LHA model is a valid one for migrant farmworker families. © 1994 Aspen Publishers, Inc.
