Abstract
The phenomenon of immigration is growing in many industrialized countries, as well as in Italy, and requires a careful health surveillance of immigrants aimed at blocking the possible spread of exotic diseases. From various studies and observations, the most dangerous contagious disease in immigrants nowadays appears to be tubrculosis, whereas the risk of spreading for malaria and other parassitosis in our Country appears to be very low.
