Abstract
The focus of the present paper is the series of difficulties ethnic and immigrant group women face on a daily basis within institutions. By critiquing the traditional forms of psychotherapy and counseling, a new direction is opened which leads to feminist philosophy and feminist therapy as one context out of which women may be empowered. Healing for women, it is concluded, may very well begin with a feminist approach to therapy. © 1993 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
