A decade of (slow) progress: The evolution of policies and provisions for unaccompanied refugee minors in Australia (Article)

Abstract

TThis report traces the evolution of legislation, social policy and provisions in the areas of guardianship, care arrangements and income support for Indochinese unaccompanied refugee minors who have resettled in Australia, and critiques the process that has occurred. The paper concludes with a brief discussion of the instrumental role played by social workers in bringing about change. © 1992 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
