Abstract

The increasing migration of people from extraeuropean cultures raises a considerable charge for the public health system in middle-european countries and a challenge fur psychiatry. Two cases of turkish-kurdish female migrants with major psychiatric disorder are presented. Both of them committed suicide in Basel - in spite of proper psychiatric care in a town with excellent psychiatric facilities.
