Abstract

A comprehensive, culturally-oriented health education program, planned and directed by a multi-disciplinary team, has been provided to Ethiopian adolescent immigrants in youth villages in Israel from 1984 until the present. The program includes education with regard to physical, sexual and mental health, and has totalled 22,000 hours of education in forty youth villages in the field of health promotion and education. © 2011, by Walter de Gruyter GmbH & Co.
