Abstract

The authors of this paper examine the case of a woman whose personal and family history is scarred by the war in Algeria and exile as a means of showing how, from a historical, analytical and transcultural approach, women may become the object of permanent attacks on the part of men within their families, here taking on the form of a threat reawakening past traumas. © 2018 Esprit.
