Abstract
This study converts recent social science empirical studies on the new Korean immigraet family into practical tools that can be utilized by social workers and other human service professionals. The method utilized in this study is based on the knowledge retrieval/synthesis, conversion/design approach. Among a variety of recent research findings on Korean immigrants, studies on marital adjustments and parent-child relationships are examined. A series of consensus generalizations are formulated and application guidelines for social work practice are presented for social workers who work extensively with Korean immigrants and their families. © 1996 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
